Peer Mentors

What is a Peer Mentor?

Peer Mentors serve as a positive role model and a resource for students at Cumberland University. Each fall, Peer Mentors assist first-year students attending Cumberland as supplements to the instruction students receive from their FSL Instructors. Peer Mentors attends each FSL class period, aids in and possibly teaches lessons during the semester, and helps to facilitate class discussion. Peer Mentors also plan and organize intellectual, thematic outings and supports the activities of the CU Connect program that acquaints the new students with the resources for personal and educational growth at Cumberland University and surrounding area.
